These are books made from 140 lbs Aches Watercolor Paper (hot and cold press). I had several requests for watercolor paper books last year but I only sold three of the nine I made.

The signatures are torn from a single sheet of paper, folded, punched and sewn. The closure is magnetic with a rare earth magnet embedded in the front cover and a strip of metal glued into the closure fold.

It's a cute little structure and fairly solid. There are 15 signatures sewn with waxed linen thread in an unsupported link stitch. The back section is reinforced with bristol paper and the cover is glued around museum board (which holds the magnet in place).

These are awesome in all their simplicity! I love the fact that the only colourful element is the binding thread.
If I knew how to use watercolours at all, I would totally buy one.

Thanks. The other cool thing is that since the whole book is watercolor paper, you can paint on any surface (including the spine). Feel free to point any watercolorists you know this way...

There are far too few sketchbooks suitable for water colours and if thereare, they rarely look nice. But yours definitely do :3!

Thank you. It's a cute little structure. Hopefully get more watercolorists at the next show (Last year I had about 6 and no books made of watercolor paper--this year, I had 9 books and no watercolorists).
